Can I manufacture in China with no experience?

We get this question a lot. You may have heard the horror stories of lost money, lost time, lost product and worse. Many of the stories are true. There are steps and procedures to follow that are learned through years of experience in the industry. You can import from China with no experience but you may not be so happy with the results. A. There are many wonderful products on the Internet. Wise not to jump in and order a large amount though before checking it out. Try talking to us about doing samples and getting comparison quotes from a range of factories (possibly different countries) before ordering a large amount.

My current supplier overseas producing my product is getting worse to deal with every time and the quality is dropping off. What should I do?

Having contracts in place and doing supplier audits prior to beginning your contract is ideal. Administering quality control procedures and stipulating strict requirements using pictures more than long emails is ideal. It is important to reiterate your quality level requirements each time you place an order and to refresh your contracts to ensure you are not left with any surprises.

How can I know who to trust when looking for a supplier and if they are a real factory or just a website with an email?

Ideally you should have people on the ground in the country you are dealing with. Someone there who can literally go into the factory and talk to the people on the production line, the sales staff handling the order. A local quality inspection firm that can go in and check your order before it leaves the factory and before they have all your money. Ask us about this service.
